Inlet and jet test techniques for large scale model in 8m×6m Low Speed Wind Tunnel

  • The paper introduced established inlet and jet test techniques for large scale model in the 8m×6m Low Speed Wind Tunnel with a vacuum pumper and a jet simulator. The single vacuum pumper can attain suction flux to 383 m3/min which fulfills 100% flux demand for large scale fighter plane model in the 8m×6m test section. The maximal exit pressure ratio of the jet simulator reaches to 3.5. Through increasing the ratio of the model compared with that in a wind tunnel of 3m magnitude, the test can simulate aerodynamic configuration with increasing details, and the test can more precisely provide inlet performance, influence of the jet on a fighter plane, and the parameter of vectoring nozzle.
