Abstract
The lift can be effectively increased and the take-off and landing characteristics can be greatly improved by using blowing control, while ground effect must be considered when analyzing the performance of take-off and landing. In order to investigate the ground effect of the airfoil using blowing to enhance lift, the aerodynamic characteristics of the basic airfoil, steady blowing control airfoil and pulse blowing control airfoil are experimentally investigated by surface pressure and PIV flow field measurement. The results show that the lift coefficient and the lift coefficient slope of the basic airfoil and the blowing control airfoil decrease in ground effect, the separation restrain ability of pulse blowing control is stronger than that of steady blowing with and without ground effect, and the lift enhancement is smaller with ground effect than that without ground effect using pulse blowing at the same control conditions.
