Abstract
Abstract Some problems and games about the aerodynamic design of 10MW wind turbine generator system (WTGS) are discussed from system respect. The relationships of the wind energy and the power coefficient of wind turbine changing with wind speed are analyzed, and based on the Blade ElementMomentum Theory, the mathematical model is built for the optimal design of the 10MW blade aerodynamic profile. And the performance of the wind turbine rotor is calculated. The profiles of the blade and the rotor of the 10MW wind turbine are built. The views are proposed that the weight of tower head of wind turbine could be decreased, the cost could be saved, and annual electric production could be enhanced by increasing the speed of the blade tip and widening the range of rotating speed of the wind turbine rotor.
