Abstract:
Rotating blade surface film forming conditions of wind turbine blade with or without tip holes are investigated. Based on two-way flow tube theory model, using MATLAB software programming and Fluent software for numerical simulation, the calculation results obtained from this two methods were compared, based on numerical simulation analysis of two kinds of models in different jet velocities on the aerodynamic characteristics and flow mechanics. Results show that numerical simulation can well reflect the characteristics of flow field. With certain rotation rate and wind speed, aerodynamic performance of the rotating blade will be seriously weaken when the jet velocity is too large, however, a good air film protection can not be formed with too small rotation rate and wind speed. The research results have certain importance for the design of H type vertical axis wind turbine control ice blade.
