Abstract:
Thermal structure, thermal match and thermal seal complementation ground test for rotatable parts such as airfoils and rudders is technically difficult in the research and development stage of strategic glide vehicles, and hypersonic vehicle flight test is a qualified solution to overcome this difficulty. Due to the difficulty in ground tests, the corresponding test techniques were investigated in an arc heated wind tunnel. Technical solutions were proposed to solve key problems including the initiation of the flow field, the flow field choking, and the flow field control in consideration of rotations. These techniques were successfully used for the rotatable parts in thermal structure, thermal match and thermal seal complementation test. The surface heat flux distribution has good agreement with the one in the flight condition, and the flow field is stable when the rotatable part is rotating. It is the first rotating thermal seal complementation ground test in China.
