Abstract:
Flow stability and transition is a hot and difficult topic in the study of hypersonic flow. Recently, great progresses have been made in its theoretical basic research, but there are still obvious deficiencies in engineering application. Main progresses in engineering application research on hypersonic flow stability and transition in recent years are reviewed. The engineering application developments of flow stability in complex shape flow, non-parallel flow, local distortion flow and strong three-dimensional flow are introduced, and the engineering application developments of transition prediction e
N method in receptivity, integrating method, transition criterion and software development are summarized. Combined with the results of wind tunnel test, ballistic target test and flight test, the typical cases of cone with zero angle of attack, elliptical cone, cone with small angle of attack and cone with large angle of attack are applied. The future of hypersonic flow stability and transition in engineering application is prospected.
