Abstract: An optimized design method combining a complicated wake vortex aerodynamic model on variable circulation along blade axis and limited blades with PSO（Partical Swarm Optimization）algorithm of large-scale wind turbine,was introduced and discussed.The feasibility and superiority of the method was shown by comparing with the design results from conventional method through a 3 MW large-scale horizontal axial wind turbine
