Abstract:
A ground electromagnetic dry wind tunnel test technique is introduced in this paper. The technique enables the usage of the electromagnetic field and Ampere force to simulate the aerodynamic force. In this technique, the static and dynamic loads are conducted on tested model without contact with the model. This technique is very significant to the study of multi-discipline dynamics process dominated by non-aerodynamics elements. In order to verify the effectiveness of the test technique, a series of calibration tests have been carried out. This study has proved that electromagnetic dry wind tunnel apparatus is capable of providing reasonable results by correctly loading.
