Abstract:
Physical and numerical investigation of cavitating flow-induced vibration has been reviewed. With the improvement of the experimental measurement technique, the multi-field synchronous measurement combining the high-speed visualization and unsteady vibration measurement will be one of the future directions of experimental investigation. Numerical simulation methods for the unsteady cavitating flow have also been summarized, and the combination of the Computational Fluid Dynamics and the machine learning will bring the further improvement of the numerical simulation work for the cavitating flow-induced vibrations. Study on the evolution of the cavitation behaviors and corresponding cavitating flow-induced vibration has been reviewed. The transient cavitation development strongly affects the structural dynamic responses. In the future, the X ray may help to further investigate the unsteady cavitation behaviors, such as the re-entrant jet and shock wave induced cavity shedding, and the unsteady cavitating flow mechanism and cavitation-structure interaction will be further revealed.
