Rayleigh-Bénard thermal convection heat transfer characteristics with internal spherical arrays

  • 摘要: 通过实验研究了内置圆球对Rayleigh-Bénard(RB)湍流热对流系统传热特性的影响。在对流槽内部加入有机玻璃圆球,通过改变圆球的直径和分布方式研究不同孔隙度\phi对RB系统传热的影响。Rayleigh数(Ra)从5×107变化到2×109,Prandtl数(Pr)固定为5.5。结果表明,当Ra较小时,填充圆球对RB系统的传热几乎没有影响;当Ra较大时,RB系统的传热得到增强,最大增幅达16%。

     

    Abstract: In this paper, the effect of internal sphere on heat transfer characteristics of Rayleigh-Bénard (RB) thermal convection system is investigated experimentally. The effect of \phi porosity on heat transfer of RB system was studied by changing the diameter and distribution of the plexiglass sphere. Rayleigh number (Ra) changed from 5×107 to 2×109, and Prandtl number (Pr) was fixed at 5.5. The results show that under low Ra numbers, the filled spheres have almost no effect on the heat transfer of the RB system; under high Ra numbers, the heat transfer of the RB system is enhanced, with a maximum increase of 16%.
