Abstract
Numerical investigation of the characteristics of double Degree-Of-Freedom(DOF) motion of an 80° delta wing in force-pitch and free-roll is presented,in which a coupling numerical method is employed for solving Navier-Stokes equations and rigid-body dynamic equations. The investigation includes: compare of the characteristics between double DOF motion and single DOF motion, the amplitude and frequency characteristics of the free-roll motion in dynamic incidence and the characteristics of aerodynamics in coupled double DOF motion. It is shown that no limit-cycle-oscillation can be formed with dynamic incidence, the variation of the amplitude of free-roll lags behind the variation of incidence, noticeable inclination of lift and worse transverse stability are achieved in double DOF motion.
